Standoffs are a barrel that has internal threads. They can either be threaded the entire length or from each end depending on the part’s overall length. This allows you to use a fastener to mount the standoff on one end and a puck to mount your panel on the other end. You can then hang or change panels without having to take the whole assembly down.
